NEW! UHIN can access national payers for eligibility. UHIN has a new connection allowing users to send electronic, real-time eligibility requests, giving UHIN members access to an unprecedented number of payers at no additional charge. What is Electronic Eligibility?

Electronic eligibility allows you to send a patient’s name, date of birth, and/or insurance ID and receive coverage information back from the payer. There is no need to call and wait on hold. This service is available through the UHINt 2.5 software; some Practice Management systems may offer this as well.

Although some payers offer this service through their individual websites, being able to access these payers from a single program with one username and password combination cuts down on time and allows your office to check eligibility efficiently.

UHIN Eligibility Payer List for a complete listing of available payers. Note that while most payers do not require enrollment to begin, there are some who do require that step. For your convenience, a separate list is available with the payers requiring enrollment.


How to start:

Complete any required enrollment. If you already use UHINt 2.5, contact your area representative or the UHIN Help Desk for setup instructions, or follow our setup guide.
