UHIN provides a wide range of products and services designed to help our members and all segments of the health care community.

UHINet II allows members of the UHIN community to send and receive electronic health care transactions and messages (i.e. claims, remittance advice, claims status, eligibility, lab reports, discharge summaries, acknowledgements, attachments, etc.). Through a single connection to UHINet, you can send and receive messages to any other authorized member.

UHINt is an internet based product that can be used to interface between a medical billing system and UHINet (UHIN's internet portal). It can also be used to directly type in claims, eligibility inquires, and other health care transactions. |
Eligibility Transactions
|
UHIN offers its members the ability to transmit an electronic eligibility request to include information concerning a patient’s benefits and accumulators. Several payers are currently working on developing this response. |

The Clinical Health Information Exchange (cHIE) provides medical professionals a way to share and view patient information in a secure electronic manner. This information is accessible, with patient consent, to authorized users while maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy.

UHIN has formed a strategic alliance with Claredi, a third-party testing and certification service. By using Claredi, you can certify your ability to create HIPAA transactions in the eyes of all other healthcare entities and do not have to demonstrate your capability to each individual payer. |
National Payers
|
Through UHIN, you can connect to multiple clearinghouses to access payers outside of Utah. This will eliminate the need to establish connections with each individual clearinghouse. |
Dental Electronic Transactions
|
UHIN is promoting the utilization of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for dental practices in the state of Utah. By transacting electronically, dental offices can improve efficiencies within their practice while decreasing accounts receivables, resulting in the enhancement of patient care.
