UHIN provides a low cost solution for exchanging administrative and clinical data through a secure internet gateway. Additionally, UHIN supports the exchange of images (DICOM). UHIN is connected to most Utah payers, including Utah Medicaid, in addition to thousands of National payers and a majority of Utah Healthcare Providers. To begin exchanging administrative data, please complete the steps below.

 

Step 1: the Contract

Download and print the UHIN Electronic Commerce Agreement. Please read the agreement carefully and have it signed by the appropriate person.

 

Step 2: the Enrollment Form

Please complete the form below:

If you are enrolling and/or updating multiple providers for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) at one time, you may use a spreadsheet for that section of the enrollment form.

Please note that this enrollment service encompasses Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) only- it does not affect payer contracting.

Government payers require separate EDI Enrollment.

There are multiple ways to send in the UHIN Electronic Commerce Agreement and the UHIN EDI Enrollment Form. You can:

Step 3: Test with UHIN

You will need to submit test files to UHIN before receiving production permissions- our Enrollment Team will guide you through this process. While you are testing, UHIN will complete your enrollment with the payers you indicated on the EDI Enrollment section. You will receive confirmation emails as you are approved for each payer.
