ASCX12 - The Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12, chartered by the American National Standards Institute in 1979, develops electronic data interchange (EDI) standards and related documents for national and global markets. The standards are created for various industries, one of which is Health Care. ASCX12 has been named the standard setting body by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for Administrative Health Care Exchanges. For more information see www.x12.org |
